The traditional Jamawar work is stunning, and knowing it's made with authentic Nepali craftsmanship makes wearing it even better. The cashmere feels incredibly soft but durable. Worth every rupee if you appreciate quality over trends.

Inn Kumari Poudel, a single mother, has lived a life marked by hardship and resilience. Originally from Raipur, Tanahun, the single mother moved to Pokhara with her only son in search of a better life after her husband disappeared 25 years ago. The pain of losing her husband and the uncertainty of his fate have haunted Inn Kumari ever since, but the strong mother never let it break her spirit. When Inn Kumari's husband vanished without a trace, Inn Kumari raised her son alone. She searched tirelessly, placing advertisements and seeking help from anyone who might know something about her husband, but all her efforts came up empty and she was unable to get any trace of her husband. With no support from her husband’s family, Inn Kumari turned to her maternal home, where she worked in the fields to provide for her child. The days were long and the work was hard, but the mother's love for her son drove her forward. Determined to give her son a good education, the single mother decided to move to Pokhara. Life in the city was expensive, and she struggled to make ends meet, but she was determined to provide her son with a better future. Despite Inn Kumari's tireless efforts, financial stability remained difficult to find, and the weight of her circumstances was heavy on her shoulders and her son. Inn Kumari's life took a hopeful turn when her son noticed an advertisement for Yes Helping Hands while walking through the streets of Pokhara. Eager to find a solution to their financial struggles, Inn Kumari's son quickly informed his mother about the women empowerment organization in Pokhara. The very next day, Inn Kumari visited Yes Helping Hands Cashmere and Pashmina manufacturing center to learn more about women empowerment training and opportunities in Nepal. Yes Helping Hand welcomed Inn Kumari warmly and offered her a free-of-cost three-month Pashmina and Cashmere Manufacturing training program with a food allowance to support her financial struggle. The Pashmina and Cashmere Manufacturing training provided by Yes Helping Hands was a lifeline for Inn Kumari. Not only did it equip the determined mother with valuable skills, but it also offered Inn Kumari a sense of community and support that she had long been missing. Inn Kumari Sensed the welcoming environment at Yes Helping Hand Pashmina and Cashmere Manufacturing Center. The mother says, “I saw so many people here who have problems mentally, physically, and financially but when they come here at Yes Helping Hand, they work so delicately. Everyone is so appreciative.” For the first time in years, The single mother found a glimmer of hope. Inn Kumari found a place where her efforts were recognized and where she could work alongside co-workers who understood the weight of personal struggles. Currently, Inn is working in the mending section at Yes Helping Hand Pashmina Manufacturing Center. With each passing day, the mother's skills improved, and her confidence grew which gave her a sense of self-worth and empowerment. Inn Kumari is deeply grateful to Yes Helping Hands for the empowerment opportunity they have given her. “I am happy and want to say thank you to Yes Helping Hands for understanding my problem, giving me a chance to work here, and empowering me for the better future of my son. "Yes Helping Hand taught me pashmina and cashmere manufacturing skills for free, and that has made all the difference in my life” says Inn Kumari. Inn Kumari Poudel's journey is one of immense perseverance, and her story of determination is a testament to the strength of a mother’s love for her child. Despite the many challenges she has faced, the single mother has never wavered in her determination to provide for her son.
